Wound of Briccius A quite nice album by Enisum. Images of alpine peaks and misty valleys roll by as screams and riffs pour out emotion. The clean vocals are superb and the drum work is amazing. If you're a fan of melodic metal, I highly recommend Arpitanian Lands by Enisum! Favorite track: Fauna's Souls.

Arpitanian Lands is an album dedicated to the Enisum native lands originally named “Terre Arpitane”. Lyrics and themes are mainly describing the inner nature of those ancient lands : animals, woods, rivers and mountains. Arpitanian lands is an evocative album with powerful deep meditative and ambient parts. There is a sense that Enisum has an ineffable control over his plethora of techniques and ideas. A shining gem in a mire of half-hearted records, ‘Arpitanian Lands” grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go until the final creak. Of course this second Enisum album is again dedicated to all cascadian and post black metal lovers out there....

After listening to Ysyry Mollvün, listening to Downfall of Nur was urgent and turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made in quite some time: Umbras de Barbagia is simply magisterial; the atmosphere can hardly be compared to anything else. There is a deep, palpable connection to nature imbueing each very fibre of this record. The amalgamation of black metal and folk elements is done with a high intuition for detail and class, resulting in a highly immersive experience. Wonderful. David Fischer
