"S'Enna e S'arca" is the second single taken from Anamnesi's upcoming new full-length album "CAURUS". In order to pay a significant tribute to the island of Sardinia, this song is in its entirety sung in sardinian language by one of the veterans and most important black metal singer in the sardinian scene Fedek Pia (Losa, AccabbadorA, Riluttanza) who also wrote the lyrics drawing inspiration from the rocks of S'Enna e S'arca.

With the plain of Santadi and the promontory of Capo Frasca, S'Enna e S'Arca (Ark's Gate), forms an extensive and regular peninsula that closes the southern part of the Gulf of Oristano and marks the beginning of Costa Verde (Green Coast). The coast, rocky and indented, is characterize by basalts and sandstones admirably carved by the marine waves, by the winds and by the salted air, in fanciful and picturesque forms. Formerly these rocks were used as building material , nowdays they are reasons of interest for geologists and visitors. The seabed is beautiful and evocative thanks to the transparency of the waters which gives a color ranging from emerald-green to cobalt.

What a fantastic 4-way split, extolling all the virtues of mother nature. Unfortunately, I am late as always to these things but... One of my favorite works by The Howling Void, such a diverse palette of tones and atmospheres. Can't choose a fav song, though the 3rd track just got me from first seconds, the doomy (post) black metal sound from the start is convincing. And then at 2 and half minute in, the bluesy intermezzo, makes it just a subliminal experience. And 4 (Silence...) has a very beautiful tranquil start from the first notes, to end up in that wonderful tremolo sound, do give it a listen. Marty
