misanthropic_ix Even though this album is a beast of it's own... from time to time I get vibes of early Satyricon, Emperor and Gehenna. Especially during some of the keyboard passages... for me that is not a bad that.

9/10 Favorite track: Symphony of Flies.

afcturn_ Very good atmospheric bm. Drawn out just right but still offers great tempo. They have a dungeon synth album too. It's quite unique as well. This band is extremely talented.

H.L. Livløst are somehow black metal avantgarde without being too complex or intellectual. Instead, several songs remain on rotation in my mind after listening. "No Reason" (reminding me even at Falkenbach), "Holy Night" or "Angelperfume" can be the startship to travel through Livløst's music unviverse. Favorite track: No Reason.

Björnen There's no band just like Livløst. It's twisted and strange black metal you hear on this album and it's heavy! Favorite track: Angelperfume.

Fulgrim Bon black métal avec une ambiance contemplative, mélancolique presque onirique Favorite track: Hostel.

nyvan so sick and dark. Favorite track: Symphony of Flies.

"Symphony of Flies" is the third Livløst's album, the two norwegians are playing an uncompromising, grimly dissonant and bewitched black metal with definitively sinster atmospheres. Often difficult, frequently nightmarish, this stuff easily ranks as one of nordic lands' more challenging and oblique offerings. And for us, one of his most fascinating.

With a mix of various norsk black metal traditions, atmospheric and mid-tempo practices, and a radical approach to traditional notions of extreme music in its truest sense, ‘Symphony of Flies’ is undoubtedly highly demanding of the listener.
...a dreamlike descent into the realm of death.

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74

On ne frappe pas un homme à terre : c'est ce que dit la règle mais NONE a déjà prouvé qu'il ne les suivait pas et si son album éponyme retirait toute perspective de béatitude spirituelle, Life has gone on long enough, son deuxième opus, nous interdit l'accès au bonheur terrestre. La vie n'a aucune substance et la production plus distante le confirme. Le DSBM s'empare de textures sonores blues, mettant en relief une dépression urbaine. Les cris partent en fumées : ne restent que les pleurs... Jordan Vauvert
