Proto Witch Beautiful and relentless from start to finish. A true contender in the Symphonic Black genre. If you are a fan of Dimmu Borgir's earlier works don't think twice. This album is for you! Favorite track: A Witch King Reborn.

AetherWind I did guest vocals at the beginning of track 6. (The Jesters Demise) quite a few years ago. Its so fucking cool finally being able to hear everything in its completion !!! Everything about this record is incredible. Some of the best symphonic black metal I have ever heard. Bishop Of Hexen has been one of my favorite bands within the last 12 years easily so it holds a special place in my heart knowing I got the opportunity to make and be apart of this record with these guys \m/ Favorite track: The Jester's Demise.

H.L. I know THE BISHOP OF HEXEN from their 1997 album "Archives of an enchanted Philosophy" and was quite surprised to see them still alive. They still play symphonic black metal, just in a more mature way. The song are varied but fluent, also in terms of vocals you get everything from clean singing, over female vocals to screams and there are catchy passages which add individual character to the complex anthems. I really enjoy the album as this symphonic style became a rare phenomenon in our days! Favorite track: A Witch King Reborn.

about

Formed in late 1994 in Israel, the band has released one of the most appreciated atmospheric black metal album to date "Archives Of An Enchanted Philosophy", now after 14 years since their latest album the band has released their return from the darkest depths to unleash : The death Masquerade.

This new set of songs is a deep and introspecting journey, from orchestral black metal vibes to theatrical and monumental atmospheres.

The Bishop of Hexen literally chases you through your nightmares. Sometimes you are driven through the undergrowth with nasty boards in panic of breathlessness…This new album is a true masterpiece of symphonic-black metal with many unexpected twists, a never-ending tension, and all of this is presented in a playful top form
