After listening to Ysyry Mollvün, listening to Downfall of Nur was urgent and turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made in quite some time: Umbras de Barbagia is simply magisterial; the atmosphere can hardly be compared to anything else. There is a deep, palpable connection to nature imbueing each very fibre of this record. The amalgamation of black metal and folk elements is done with a high intuition for detail and class, resulting in a highly immersive experience. Wonderful. David Fischer

I've listened to this EP a couple dozen times over the last year. as my life progresses and my experiences grow, I find myself transitioning to a connect of how bright you shine to hope you never forget.
that's not to say this whole EP isn't beautiful, I always viewed it as a transitional release for sadness and Damian's change in style. and I completely understand it. Josh Martineau

I worked my way backwards to this. And what you get is the expected proto-genre shifting behemoth that we get later one. But this isn't simply archival material of historical interest. A track like Easy remains among the band's best work, even as they have branched out from there. Luke
