The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!!

Very atmospheric, a perfect winter soundscape. Each of the 5 pieces are their own distinct work, but they complement each other so well that it makes it a good hour of atmospheric black metal that you want to finish in one sit through (or winter hike).

Bach - Preludium Minor

Interesting take on Bach and therefor alone worth it already. The execution is subliminal. The Dutch - Flemish Renaissance cover fits the atmosphere and when it does, you know you're onto something good.
